Leavenworth Micro-Hydro Project

Recent fit, form, and function testing of 3PESI’s micro-hydro device in the City of Leavenworth, Washington waste water treatment facility was conducted on Monday, February 21st. Initial tests and data collected indicate that the project will be a viable source for recapturing energy from low flow effluent water. This project is receiving assistance from the Washington State Technology Assistance Program to provide third party analysis of data.

Based on initial findings, the City of Leavenworth can expect to enjoy 1-3 kilowatts of electricity made from their waste-water.

WA State Legislature enacts SB 6170 into Law

Did you know? That sales and use tax exemption in the form of a refund is allowed for 100 percent of the sales tax paid on machinery and equipment used to create energy from fuel cells, sun, wind, biomass energy, tidal and wave energy, geothermal resources, anaerobic digestion, and technology that converts otherwise lost energy from exhaust or landfill gas from July 1, 2009, to June 30, 2011. The sales tax exemption is reduced to 75 percent from July 1, 2011, to June 30, 2013. The exemption expires June 30, 2013.
